HAMPTON, Ga. - The cars of defending series champion Kevin Harvick and Greg Biffle were among the last to pass inspection before Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Atlanta Motor Speedway

Just as several teams had trouble getting through inspection on Friday for qualifying, many teams had issues Sunday. Jeff Gordon blasted NASCAR for the inspection issues Friday.

The cars of Harvick and Biffle went through inspection multiple times Sunday and were being pushed to pit road during the pre-race prayer. The last car to pass inspection, JJ Yeley’s ride, was pushed to pit road during the National Anthem.

Gordon’s car also was late but was pushed to pit road well before the cars of Biffle, Harvick and Yeley.

The race started more than 30 minutes late because of morning rain.
