WATCH LIVE: NASCAR AMERICA, 5:30 pm ET – West Coast swing, Vickers’ return, Moffitt in No. 34, Roush woes

Today’s edition of NASCAR America airs LIVE from 5:30 to 6 pm ET.

Carolyn Manno, Parker Kligerman and Frank Stoddard anchor from Stamford (Conn.), while Rick Allen and Nate Ryan are at our NBC Charlotte studios.

On today’s show, we start revving up our coverage for this weekend’s race action in Las Vegas:

* We discuss how NASCAR Sprint Cup teams are approaching the upcoming West Coast swing. Included is a special feature from Rutledge Wood.

* Fresh off his top-10 finish as a replacement driver in Atlanta, Brett Moffitt has been named as the driver of the Front Row Motorsports No. 34 for the next three races. We’ll bring you the latest.

* Brian Vickers makes his return to Sprint Cup racing this weekend in Las Vegas. We discuss expectations for Vickers in the No. 55 Michael Waltrip Racing Toyota Camry.

* Roush Fenway Racing has been winless in its last 25 starts on 1.5 mile tracks, once its forte. Our Kelli Stavast travelled to the Roush Fenway shop in Concord, N.C., to report on how the team plans to buck that trend.

* Nate Ryan brings us the latest NASCAR news.

* The top-5 moments in Las Vegas Motor Speedway history.
