Jimmie Johnson led the way in Saturday’s first practice session at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with a lap of 191.891 mph.
Aric Almirola spun off Turn 2 and slid down the track late in the session. He made no contact, his car stopping a few feet from the inside wall down the backstretch. Almirola drove the car back to the garage.
