Front Row Motorsports announced Friday morning that Chris Buescher will drive the team’s No. 34 Sprint Cup car in two of the next three races, at Bristol Motor Speedway (April 19) and Talladega Superspeedway (May 3).

The team has not determined who will drive the car at Richmond International Raceway (April 25).

Buescher said he will keep his focus on his Xfinity team at Richmond since both Xfinity and Cup teams are on the track only on one day.

“The schedule at Richmond would be extremely hectic and it’s not fair to my guys on the Xfinity side ... to be trying to run back and forth like that all day,’' Buescher said Friday. “We’re sitting in a really good spot in points right now over there and we need to make sure we put in all of our efforts to be able to go win that (Xfinity) championship. If that means sitting out a week in the Cup car, that’s absolutely OK.’'

Buescher has driven the car the past two races, finishing 20th at Auto Club Speedway and 24th at Martinsville Speedway. Buescher is in the car this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway.

He’s driven the No. 34 Ford since the March 22 race at Auto Club Speedway. Brett Moffitt drove the car at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Phoenix International Raceway after Front Row loaned David Ragan to Joe Gibbs Racing, which needed a replacement in the No. 18 Toyota for Kyle Busch (who is out indefinitely after being injured in the season-opening Xfinity race at Daytona International Speedway).

Moffitt, under contract to Michael Waltrip Racing, moved to the No. 55 Toyota of Brian Vickers after a recurrence of blood clots sidelined the MWR driver.
