Josh Wise announced on Twitter Monday morning he was parting ways with Premium Motorsports.

Wise’s announcement of his departure comes days after Brendan Gaughan left the No. 62 team prior to the Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway. Reed Sorenson replaced him.

In 17 races in the No. 98 this year, Wise’s best finish was 10th at Talladega.

Wise’s No. 98 car was owned by Mike Curb and was originally part of Phil Parson’s Racing before Premium Motorsports took it over earlier this year. Wise, known for being sponsored in multiple races by the crowd funded Dogecoin, won the fan vote for the 2014 Sprint All-Star Race thanks to a concentrated voting effort by supporters on Reddit.com

Premium Motorsports originated out of Tommy Baldwin Racing when Jay Robinson bought the assets of the No. 36 team in February and rebranded it the No. 62.
