Tonight’s U.S. Cellular 250 at Iowa Speedway: Start time, TV info and more

The NASCAR Xfinity Series races tonight at Iowa Speedway in the U.S. Cellular 250.

Here are the particulars (all times are ET):

START: Grant Leech, U.S. Cellular vice president of brand management, will give the command for drivers to start their engines at 8:07 p.m. ET. The green flag is scheduled for 8:15 p.m.

DISTANCE: The race is scheduled for 250 laps (218.75 miles) around the .875-mile speedway.

PRERACE SCHEDULE: The Xfinity garage opens at 11:30 a.m., and qualifying will be held at 4:45 p.m. The drivers meeting is at 6:15 p.m. Driver introductions is at 7:30 p.m.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: It will be performed by Maddie Walker of Ankeny, Iowa, at 8:01 p.m.

TV/RADIO: NBC will broadcast the race (and streaming available at http://stream.nbcsports.com/liveextra), starting with a prerace show at 7:30 p.m. Motor Racing Network will broadcast the race on radio and at MRN.com. SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will carry the radio broadcast.

FORECAST: The wunderground.com site predicts 79 degrees at race time with a 1% chance of rain.

LAST TIME: Chris Buescher took the lead with two laps to go to win the race there in May. Chase Elliott, who led a race-high 114 of 259 laps, finished second with Erik Jones third.
