Martin Truex Jr. posted the fastest lap in Saturday’s final practice session at Michigan International Speedway.
Kyle Busch spun and damaged his car early in the session and had to go to a backup car. Busch did get to run some laps in the backup car in the session. Austin Dillon, who was fifth quick, was slow in the final minutes of the session and reported a possible mechanical issue.
“We think it was something to do with fueling,’' Dillon told NBCSN. “It wasn’t getting enough fuel. Hopefully it’s just a fueling issue.’'
Truex led the way with a lap of 191.729 mph. Joey Logano was next at 191.215 mph. Carl Edwards was third at 191.189 mph.
