Even though Matt Kenseth has dominated, Kevin Harvick is the leader at the halfway point of Sunday’s Pure Michigan 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Michigan International Speedway.
Kenseth has led 77 of the first 100 laps in the scheduled 200-lap event. He came onto pit road on Lap 99 for a green flag pit stop, relinquishing the lead to Harvick.
Running second at the midpoint is Kyle Busch (who had to start at the back of the pack due to going to his backup car following an incident in Saturday’s final practice), followed by Carl Edwards, Austin Dillon and Brad Keselowski.
Defending winner Jeff Gordon has been in the middle of the pack for much of the race, but is running 12th after the most recent sequence of pit stops.
