Arrests made in home invasion, stabbing deaths of two NASCAR fans

According to the Michigan State Police, two arrests have been made in connection with a Saturday home invasion and stabbing attack in York Township, Mich., that left two dead and three injured.

The police have arrested a 25-year-old man from Dundee, Mich. and a 33-year-old man from Monroe, Mich., in relation to the attack that left Timber Brown, 12, and his half-brother, Johnathan Brown, 26, dead.

Timber’s mother, Vicki Moore, 31, is in critical condition at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor. A family friend told MLive.com that Moore was stabbed 14 times.

The other two victims, including the home owner, have not been identified by police.

According to the Detroit Free Press and MLive, the victims are natives of Indian River, Mich., and were in the area to attend the NASCAR race at Michigan International Speedway. The track is about 35 miles west of where they were staying with a friend of one of their traveling companions. They had planned to camp but changed their plans after after forecasts for bad weather.
