Samuel and the rest of the Washington receiving cadre will be without quarterback Jayden Daniels for the foreseeable future after the second-year starter appeared to break his left arm in the fourth quarter of the blowout loss. The five receptions were a season low in games started by Daniels, but Samuel has caught only 11 balls in three Marcus Mariota starts this season. Fantasy managers are likely best looking elsewhere for wide receiver production, starting in Week 10 when the Commanders host the Lions.

The only thing Smith-Njigba failed to do in this one was find paint, with both Elijah Arroyo and Cody White scoring their first professional touchdowns and rookie Tory Horton tacking on two more. Smith-Njigba remains one of the premier receivers in the game and continues to lead the league in receiving yards through the midway point in the season, now having gone over 100 yards through the air in six of his first eight games. He’ll look to continue his torrid start to the season when the Seahawks host the Cardinals in Week 10.

Darnold set a career high with 17 straight completions, 15 of which occurred in the first half as the Seahawks jumped out to a 31-7 lead while scoring on all five possessions before the break. His second incompletion of the evening was his only real mistake as he attempted a cross-body throw over the middle of the field that led to an interception. He eventually gave way to Drew Lock with just over six minutes remaining to play in the fourth quarter. The convincing win sends the Seahawks to a tie atop the NFC with a 6-2 record, and they have now won 11 of head coach Mike Macdonald’s first 12 road games since the start of the 2024 season. Up next for Darnold and the Seahawks are the Cardinals at home in Week 10.

Daniels’ arm was pinned under his body on a tackle in the fourth quarter against the Seahawks. It appeared to be a significant injury to his non-throwing arm in real time. The team’s training staff immediately brought out the air cast to immobilize the arm. Expect Marcus Mariota, who came in to relieve Daniels and has started three games for the Commanders this season, to start under center for the foreseeable future in Washington. Daniels completed 16-of-22 passes for 153 yards and one interceptions before departing, adding 51 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.

Jeanty was bottled up on the ground, averaging 3.2 yards per carry and posting the week’s fourth worst rush yards over expected, per NextGen Stats. Jeanty got it done in the pass game, however. He ran a pass route on 34 of Geno Smith’s 47 drop backs and scored on a 15-yard reception. No other Raiders running back saw a rushing attempt against the Jaguars. With a death grip on the backfield workload, Jeanty should remain in fantasy lineups next week against a tough Broncos defense.

Lawrence struggled to get anything going against a middling Vegas secondary. He was without Travis Hunter (knee, IR) and lost Brian Thomas to an ankle injury in the second half. Lawrence against the Raiders was quick to pull the ball down and take off after one or two reads. One of his rush touchdowns came on a designed run inside the ten; the other came on a QB sneak at the half yard line. Week 9 marked Lawrence’s second multi-touchdown rushing performance of 2025. He now has nine touchdown throws through eight games and profiles as a desperation fantasy option for Week 10 against the Texans.

Brock Bowers was finally back from his early-season ankle injury and Geno peppered his game-breaking tight end with 14 targets, connecting with Bowers for three scores on the day. Geno was sacked twice and had plenty of time to operate in a clean pocket against a Jaguars pass rush that ranks as one of the league’s worst. Coming into Week 9, Smith had eclipsed the 200-yard mark just once over his past four games, struggling with accuracy in the short and intermediate areas. Bowers’ return could make Smith usable in superflex formats going forward. He’ll face the Broncos in Week 10.

McCaffrey was injured on the opening kickoff as a defender landed with all his body weight on the receiver’s shoulder. He was tended to on the sideline before being ruled out for the remainder of the game. Veteran journeyman Chris Moore is likely to be asked to step up considering the team is already playing without top wide receiver Terry McLaurin.

Etienne was, as usual, inefficient with his opportunities. In fact, only two running backs across the league this week had a lower rate of rush yards over expected than Etienne. He was stuffed at the goal line four times, a troubling trend this season. Rookie RB Bhayshul Tuten punched in a goal line carry in the first half and saw nine total rushes for 29 yards. Etiene logged a pass route on about half of the Jaguars’ drop backs while Tuten ran just eight routes and was not targeted. Etienne’s pass game involvement could keep him afloat as a top-24 fantasy play next week against a stingy Houston defense. Etienne managed 56 yards and a touchdown in Week 3 against the Texans.

Williams never broke a run longer than 15 yards, but he consistently churned through contact, picking up one helpful gain after another. This is Williams’ first time rushing for 100-plus yards in a game this season. On the Rams’ third drive, Saints CB Alontae Taylor hid behind EDGE Chase Young before knifing through the interior offensive line, tackling Williams for a five-yard loss. Aside from that play, the Saints failed to bottle up the Rams’ ground game. Williams is a locked-in RB1 against a 49ers defense that may have lost yet another front-seven defender, EDGE Mykel Williams (knee), to injury.
