  • CLE Right Fielder #24
Personalize your Rotoworld feed by favoriting players
DeLauter, who got into two postseason games last October, got the Guardians on the board with a 353-foot homer in the first and then added some insurance with a one-run lead with a 422-foot blast in the ninth. He also had a single and another run scored in between. DeLauter’s struggles staying healthy as a minor leaguer don’t bode well, but there’s no questioning the former first-rounder’s talent. He’d seem to be worth using in mixed leagues for now.
  • CLE Starting Pitcher #28
That’s no good. Bibee was removed while warming up for the sixth inning tonight. After the game, he said the injury was a new one, and he got to the point where he felt like he “couldn’t battle through it.” Given his comments, even if the injury proves to be relatively minor, we imagine he’ll spend some time on the IL. Logan Allen is the obvious choice to replace him in the Cleveland rotation, though the Guardians could recall Codi Heuer until a start is needed against the Dodgers on Tuesday.
  • LAD Center Fielder #44
The Dodgers entered the home half of the fifth inning facing a two-run deficit until Max Muncy and Teoscar Hernandez set the table with a couple of singles. Pages then followed with a mammoth 400-foot (100.6 mph EV) three-run shot that changed the entire complexion of the game and put the Dodgers ahead to stay. He also singled in the eighth inning. Pages appears to be back in the Dodgers’ good graces after being benched down the stretch of their run to the World Series.
  • DET Shortstop #7
The 21-year-old phenom came to the dish with the bases loaded in the opening inning and laced the first pitch that he saw from Nick Pivetta for a two-run single into right field that increased the Tigers’ early lead to 3-0. In the third inning, he worked his way back from an 0-2 count before crushing a 2-2 fastball (105.9 mph EV) off the top of the wall in right field for another double. He also reached on an infield single in the fifth — exhibiting elite speed with a sprint speed of 30.2 ft/s — before riding home on Dillon Dingler’s two-run blast. If he keeps this up, he won’t be hitting sixth in the Tigers’ lineup for very long.
  • MIL Starting Pitcher #32
Misiorowski gave up a leadoff homer to Chase Meidroth, but the White Sox couldn’t get to him after that. He got 19 whiffs on his fastball alone and ended up with a 41% CSW. It’s Misiorowski’s third 10-strikeout game in 15 career starts. His high was 12 against the Dodgers last July. Misiorowski is due make his next start Wednesday against the Brewers.
  • NYM Right Fielder #3
It was a three-true-outcome day for Benge, as he struck out in his other two at-bats. The homer to right-center came off Justin Lawrence in the sixth. Benge was able to make the Mets this spring without ever homering, finishing up at .366/.435/.439 in 46 plate appearances in Grapefruit League action. Especially with him being due to sit against a lot of lefties, it’s hard to say if the homers and steals will be there to make Benge a viable mixed-league outfielder as a rookie. However, he should be a solid major league contributor with his OBP skills.
  • AZ Shortstop #10
While Lourdes Gurriel is sidelined, the 23-year-old will have a chance to see regular at-bats for the Diamondbacks — essentially battling Alek Thomas to see who sticks in the lineup upon Gurriel’s return. Here’s the full lineup that the Diamondbacks will use against Yoshinobu Yamamoto and the Dodgers on Friday evening in Los Angeles: Ketel Marte (2B), Corbin Carroll (RF), Geraldo Perdomo (SS), Gabriel Moreno (C), Pavin Smith (DH), Nolan Arenado (3B), Carlos Santana (1B), Alex Thomas (CF) and Jordan Lawlar (LF).
  • PIT Starting Pitcher #30
If this game had taken place two days ago, Skenes would have been lifted after 30 pitches and brought back out for the second inning. Alas, that couldn’t happen in the regular season. Skenes made his own trouble by walking Francisco Lindor and Luis Robert Jr. in the first, but the first two hits he allowed were soft singles and the third was a bases-loaded triple that Oneil Cruz misplayed in center. The fourth was a double that Cruz lost in the sun. There was nothing wrong with Skenes’ stuff today, but the Pirates simply couldn’t risk continuing on with him at 37 pitches in the first in the first game of the season. Most likely, Skenes will make his next start Wednesday against the Reds. The Pirates, though, would have the option of bringing him back early if they’d like.
  • MIL Center Fielder #11
Well, that’s a brutal blow on Opening Day. Chourio apparently suffered the injury in the World Baseball Classic, but the X-rays didn’t show a clear fracture. However, he aggravated the injury on a check swing this week, and that’s when further imaging revealed a hairline fracture. The Brewers claim he will be out anywhere between two and four weeks, but considering how important he is to the team and that the season is just starting, we would expect him to be out closer to a month. Blake Perkins was called up to take his spot on the roster, but Jake Bauers, who is fresh off a tremendous spring, could get the first look in the starting lineup.
  • NYM 2nd Baseman #11
Polanco is going to play most days for the Mets, switching between first base and DH, so his hitting in this spot in the order, behind Francisco Lindor, Juan Soto, and Bo Bichette, is tremendous for his RBI potential. Polanco slashed .265/.326/.495 in 524 plate appearances with Seattle last year, while adding 26 home runs and six steals. Considering he will also add first base eligibility soon, he is looking like a great value in fantasy leagues.
